My Garden in December

If it only could snow a little bit. I so so wish December could be snowy and white. It would add so much to the Christmas spirit, but the last few years no snow has been seen. It is wet, foggy and grey... My garden is rather sad looking... You would think it was October. And therefor my October decorations at the front door has stayed for longer than planned. This last weekend I managed to tidy up a bit, making room for some jolly Christmas wreaths and decorations instead. We took down the bouncy matt on the trampoline, cut back the last of the flowers and put things away in the shed. The growing boxes are filled with cow poop from the farmer (yes it stinks, but it goes away after a  few days...) in preparation for next years vegetable growing season.

Today it is foggy and cold and kind of frosty white. Who knows, maybe we will be lucky to have a little bit of snow after all.

  1. Looks serene and ready for a well-deserved winter "rest." Cold, wet, and foggy, yes, but I'll bet there is also the aroma of the earth (and, of course, the cow poop)! Trevlig Helg!

  3. No snow here in North Carolina, USA, at least where I live near Raleigh. Maybe snow in the mountains, but not here in the Piedmont area, which means at the foot of the mountains. Last year we had what I describe of as a "wind winter", no snow but lots of very windy days.

Love your blog and will wish for snow for you.

  4. meanwhile.... we are getting dumped on! And we are expecting another winter storm (up to a foot of snow!) this weekend! I wish all I had to do was cuddle up with a hot cuppa and some crochet!

Here in B.C., Canada, we too usually have rainy days in December. This year however, we had 1 1/2 feet of snow and - 7 during the day, with more snow expected this weekend! My sister in Lone Butte has a bit of snow and - 23 to -29 degrees. Brrrr! Love working on my ripple afgan with a cuppa coffee, watching my children doing their homeschool!

  7. I hope you get snow because I know exactly what you mean! Last year for us in NY was the weirdest...it was so mild and warm and instead of everything being white, it was brown and gray. We did have some snow the other day and more coming tomorrow, so it really helps and is good for the soul this time of year! Does Sweden usually have snow at Christmas?
