My Maybelle squares. They are growing in numbers. I've been holding on to them all summer to decide what they shall become. A bag? A baby blanket? A sofa throw? Pillows? What did yo make? I am curious to know. It is time for me to make a decision. Soon the joining will begin.

Hello Annette, thank you for this beautiful pattern, and your Maybelle squares are just gorgeous. Although I have not started them yet, I plan to make a blanket using these squares - a long term project I think, as my last crochet blanket (double bed sized) took me two years, just crocheting mainly in winter. I made it from Lucy from Attic 24's Granny Stripe pattern. I think a whole blanket in the Maybelle squares would be really lovely
ReplyDeletehey annette, their are looking so lovely!
ReplyDeletei never got over 9 squares... i made two pillowcases out of my squares.

ReplyDeleteThey would be perfect for a diagonal pillow like i
once made...
xx
Georgeous! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteA bag, Annette! But all is a good idea!
ReplyDeleteKisses!
One can never have enough blankets xx
ReplyDeleteYour squares are beautiful I am busy with squares but nothing so intricate- a cushion would be perfect x
ReplyDeleteThey are so pretty! I have not managed to make any yet, although I do REALLY want to! I was going to use them to make a blanket for my friend's baby, but then she found out that baby is a boy! So instead I am planning a pretty cushion or 2 for myself :) xx
ReplyDeleteThey look lovely.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith
Lovely, lovely, lovely.....did I tell you they were lovely?! :) x
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. I've been looking at your pattern on Ravelry and I think I might give it a try soon.
ReplyDeleteI vote for pillows or a blanket :) Either would be stunning - it just depends on how many more you feel like making, and what other craft projects you have waiting in the wings :)
ReplyDeleteSmiles, DianeM
it is so pretty. Have a look at this blanket a member of my FB group made, just need to do the edge. All tiny Maybelle flowers...

I hung my Maybell pennants on our fireplace mantle last night. Fortunately, I had run out of the hooks I use - that you can pull the adhesive tab to remove. When I went to the store I found "small" , clear hooks with clear adhesive. Wonderful - you can't see them from in front of the fireplace. Think I will just leave them in place for whatever seasonal garland I might make. Definitely plan to make the valentine hearts, for example.
ReplyDeleteReally so nice squares! I think that the blanket or pillow could be very nice. J.
ReplyDeleteThey're so pretty! I like all the different colors. I agree you can never have too many blankets. Maybe a matching pillowcase if you have a lot of squares?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the patterns :-)
Blessings :-)
Hi Anette,
ReplyDeleteI think I would use them for a postman bag, to wear with a summer dress!!
Happy weekend!

Oh they look so pretty all together. I vote for a blanket, I'm dying to see these made up as a beautiful blanket. Or a cushion would be fab as well. I kind of want to made a cushion of them myself actually.... yes, that may well happen soon!

Such pretty squares. They would look great as anything to be honest.
ReplyDeleteHave a fab weekend.
Hi Annette, thank you for your lovely message on my "goodbye" post. Your new squares make me want to start a new crochet project; I love the colours you are using. At the moment I am very much into sewing and trying to master how to put my patchwork quilt together, so believe it or not I very rarely crochet at the moment! The impending cooler weather is making me want to finish the quilt and get it on our bed. Take care and I look forward to seeing how your project turns out. xx
ReplyDeleteYour squares are beautiful! Would like to see a bag;-)
ReplyDeleteGud så fina. ♥
ReplyDeleteThey are just gorgeous your squires.
ReplyDeleteLove your yarn & colors.
I am working on my first strippy blanket but have a injured thumb so it is slow going with a brace on.
Great!
ReplyDeleteHi, could you let me know what hook n yarn size you use. I have made a few in 8 ply cotton/bamboo yarn n 4mm and not sure if right. Thanks carolyn
ReplyDeleteIm about to make a blanket with these squares. Need 175 squares. got 22 flowers left before i have to make them all a square. Waiting to se if you have a smart way to crochet them together :D
ReplyDeleteIm making the flowers in DROPS Delight with needle number 4. The square will be offwhite in a yarn called Silja fro Gjestal. I know i would choose a thicker yarn next time.
