The first snow
Thursday morning I woke up to Winter Wonderland. What a surprise. It was totally unexpected. My husband and I had been out for dinner the night before, not going to bed until midnight and there was no sight of snow then. It must have all tumbled down from the sky in the wee hours before we all woke up to get ready for yet another school day.
It started with a squeal of delight from my oldest and was quickly followed by:
"Where are my winter boots? My ski pants???"
Me, who were honored with a sleep in this morning, got up anyway to look out the window just to see a white fluffy blanket covering the landscape outside. No wonder the kids were excited and eager to get out their winter gear. And who is best skilled to find all ski pants, jackets, gloves and hats in the attic? Mama, of course.
A hectic 30 minutes followed where we discovered jackets that were grown out of, mittens that missed their partner. Someone had to wear slightly tight winter boots but happily did so. All kids were out the door earlier than on a normal school day, to play in the snow before the school bell called them into class.
I walked my little one to school enjoying the Winter Wonderful and all its beauty. I guess I tidied the garden just in time (the day before...) and I am so ready for snow and winter. Just like the kids, who played non stop with the sleds behind the house until it was pitch black outside. I love having seasons.

Annette
PS The snow has now disappeared but I hope it will soon come back again...
