Pants... they are too short Mama!

She has grown at least a couple of inches lately. The favorite pants were ready for the recycle bin... But I came up with another idea that became a huge success. The pants are slowly falling apart, getting holes here and there, but I think we will manage until spring time. Tutorial on How To Make A Pants Crochet Edging will follow.

  5. If you keep going Annette the trousers will eventually be totally replaced with different pieces, but what fun that would be! xx

  6. So cool!!! They looked wonderful, and it looks like your daughter thinks so too!
They remind me of a cute little pair of capri trousers my daughter had when she was 8 or 9, they were black with a wide band of yellow and orange embroidererd trim with orange tassels round the bottom of each leg - she loved them!
I love crochet trims - they add an extra something!

  13. That's a very clever idea! My daughter grows up before she grows out, so we have the same problem a lot of the time.

  17. Those are cute trousers and even cuter with the edging. Its awful when you are a kid and grow out of your favourite so well done for buying her a little extra time with them. Your daughter is also absolutely stunningly pretty.

  21. Hi Annette sorry I have been absent for a short while, work as usual dominates my life at present. What a wonderful idea - Lucy from Attic 24 has done similar with her coat and how lovely it looks, it is such a good way to make childrens' clothes last a little longer and look so pretty and individual, you did a lovely job Annette. Have a fabulous Sunday, lots of hugs
