Crochet flowers and tired garden hands

My hands have mostly been digging in the garden soil lately. We are weeding, moving stones, planting new grass, putting new stones, moving piles of soil and weeding even more... And in between I make a Maybelle flower or two. After carefully washing my hands, scrubbing and checking my broken nail tips. I'm making Maybelle Flower Garlands for my Etsy Shop. I'll show you soon.

  1. They are really lovely Annette! I haven't touched a crochet needle for quite some time now, but when I see your flowers my hands start itching :-)

    Happy week!

  7. The flowers are lovely. I've been digging in the dirt also, and dealing with broody hens and swarming bees, busy times. :)

  10. It is such a busy time of year for gardening - and it sounds perfect to then do a little relaxing crochet! I have so much to do both in the house and garden - my runner beans are starting to climb in the greenhouse where i grew them from seed and i havent yet dug the veggie patch for them!
The crochet flowers are so pretty, i love this design and it will look lovely made into garlands.

  12. I would love to make a shawl using these beautiful flowers! Is there an easy join-as-you-go method to crochet them together? I hate the sewing up part of a project!

    1. Hi. Thanks for popping in. Hmmm... I am not sure. They have 8 petals... You might have to add some small circles too. I will experiment a bit and we'll see if I come up with something to share in a future blog post. Enjoy your project.
