Those cute little kittens...

Bed sheet from IKEA many years ago,  kittens from a farmer, cute girl is mine. :)
Happiness is to wake up with the kittens in bed. At least that is what Emmy Bo says. And it sure is nice that our kittens are so friendly and open to cuddles. Not all cats are.

Today Izzy and Maya are almost 6 months old. They escape outside all the time, dying to become outdoor adventurers. Today they sneaked out when I turned my back. Izzy has come back but I haven't seen Maya in over an hour. I've walked the block shaking the food box and calling for her but no... I wonder if we lost her. I hope to God we haven't. Cross fingers she will come back. I just don't know if I can take loosing one more cat...

NOTE: Maya suddenly showed up on the window sill after a 2 hour adventure outdoors. She was given treats for being such a good girl finding her way back and later she crashed hard on my bed, exhausted after her outing. All good... :)

I still search for my beloved red Jesus when I am walking outside.
He went for a walk 1 1/2 years ago.

Keeping my hooks crossed for you.

  6. Oh no, I hope kitty comes back! They can be rascals and go off for an adventure, but find their way home when they get bored and hungry. I've had many cats do that. I love the stripes on their backs! Heres to a happy homecoming!

  15. Hi Annette,
So glad Maya returned safe and sound. I do love cats they have such a wildness and independance
about them, it looks like yours are cuddly so that's good. As you said they are not all like that. We used to have a lovely silver tabby but you just couldn't stroke her for anymore than a few seconds without her tail going ten to the dozen and a disapproving growl!! She was a really wild spirit.
    Have a great day
    Hugs Julie

  16. You'll still care even when they've turned into fulltime outdoor adventurers only turning up when hungry (approx. every two hours) and tired (approx. 20 hours a day). At least we still do and ours are 18, 2x 9 and 8 years old... And they do bring little treats too (mice and birds - and if you're lucky these are still in one part). Have fun with your adorable kittens!

  19. It is safe to assume this is NOT your cat? It could be a feral who is not use to human contact. You do not give much information regarding this cat. The female cat is growling probably because she doesn't know you and are protecting her kittens. If she is not your cat, put fresh water (daily) and food out there for her. You can even put a litter box out there for the kittens who eventually will come out. If you can when you start seeing them try to catch them all and find homes for the kittens. Allot of times rescues will come out and take the mama and kittens and find homes for them. Call some and ask so you can save these kittens. View this site www.catruleone.com
