Granny WiP - starting

I am starting a granny square project. For a long time I have wanted to throw myself in to a granny square project and now I have foundthe right time for it. This WiP will be perfect to bring on our vacation in Mallorca. Not big. Lots of colours of course, but the granny square itself doesn't take much space in a travel bag.

With so many colours on my hands I always get very confused and find it very difficult to choose colour themes. So after spending a few days trying to figure out a colour theme of my blanket I decided to have NO colour theme. I am going to follow the "flow". That is whatever colour that pops up in my head.

So I have started. And I am loving it. I am experimenting. Sometimes I like. Sometimes not.

The only thing I really need to decide on now is if I want all squares with a splash of white in, all squares in solid colours or if I want it to be a mix...

Ciao!

  2. All the squares look good but I like the ones with the white the best - brightens them up a little. Have fun on your trip.

  3. I started a Granny Stripes (instead of squares) blanket yesterday. Must be something in the air inspiring Grannies. You will enjoy working on this and love it when it's finished. And it will make a treasured heirloom someday for your children. I still have the first (and only) Granny Square blanket I made back in the 90s.

  4. Sá fina! Jag hade inte heller en plan med mina. Jag brukade blunda och stoppa ner handen i garnhögen och ta upp 4 st. Det var kul!

Kul med vára likheter. Det kommer nog dyka upp fler och fler misstánker jag...
