Mallorca

We are back. Nine lovely days on the island of Mallorca has tanned our bodies gorgeously brown, sun kissed my daughters' blond hair and given us memories for life. But the view of the Alps when flying in over Switzerland felt good. It is good to be back home.

We stayed at Hotel Can Torna in Esporles close to the Tramuntana mountains only 20 minutes from Palma. We used to run cooking classes and cooking holidays from this hotel. This time we were guests at this beautiful rural hotel.

The pool, calm and quiet in the morning...

... getting crazy busy in the afternoon.

But still small and homey with room for everyone.

I admired the wonderful beach saronges, houses, flowers, Mallorquin tiling... but didn't really spend any time hooking my granny squares. To busy being on vacation.

We enjoyed having wonderful Mediterranean dinners with old and new friends.

Lots of wine (me to the left with my dear friends Lisa and Karin), laughter, late nights and mosquito bites (!!!).

Sea food market.

Wonderful fresh tasty fruit.

The beach.

Nelly reunited with her best friend Giselle (friends since the age of 3-6). Unseperable after only minutes of meeting again (Nelly to the left).

I am sure we will make this a tradition and come back every year. We have had a great time. But it is good to be home.

Ciao!
