Sweden 2015 - It was a blueberry year!

I know I haven't shared any pictures from our summer in Sweden with you yet. Maybe because the weather was utterly boring (rain, rain, rain..., cloudy, windy, cold... rain, rain, rain... and OOOPS - SUN IS OUT!!! No... I was wrong, it is raining again...) and I just thought I didn't take any pictures at all his year. Oh, was I wrong?

I have tons of photos from our vacation and we actually did have a blast. We challenged the rain and did it anyway: went swimming at the beach, fishing, outings, boat trips, forest walks, restaurant visits, loppis...

This year was a blueberry year. Oh my gosh! We picked so much blueberries that we had to give away jars of homemade blueberry jam to friends and family members. The jam is divine... A taste of summer on my breakfast toast...

When going blueberry picking you have to be prepared:
- Mosquito spray on your whole body including ears, fingers and neck - CHECK!
- Wellie boots on - CHECK!
- No fashion clothing - CHECK!

We had the most wonderful time picking blueberries and exploring the woods. The secret troll houses under fallen trees and in cracks of big rocks. Throwing ourselves into the super soft moss. Listening to birds. Catching lady birds. Checking out spiders and animal poop. We had a great time. Seeing these pictures makes me remember. One of the jolly moments between rain showers. There are more moments like this to share...

  4. Looks like a fabulous time of it! It's the same with the mosquitos here, late in the day. Sadly the wild blueberries here have all but disappeared. But, I have the tame ones I've planted and they were full this year.
