I really should be preparing...

Today I should be preparing for a guest appearance in a charming Scandinavian shop. Very exciting indeed. I will present my Christmas pillows, buntings, baby blankets and more in a Scandinavian apero event that many people have been invited to. But... I am not preparing myself.

I am doing everything but sewing, crocheting and preparing. My mind is somewhere else. Maybe it is nerves. I am not sure. I just can't find my creative mojo. At least not for pillow making and shop item making... My mind want to make a Prarie Quilt like the one from Cherry Heart. I am sorting scraps in to old shoe boxes. I am ooohing and aaaahing over Emmy Bo's cute bird picture. My mind want to make a scrappy Granny block quilt. My mind want to make a floral quilt. A Cowgirl quilt. A new crochet stool cover in my favorite winter colors. My mind want to make something for me.

So I am NOT preparing myself today. I am somehow just floating around the house. And I bet that around 7 a clock tonight, then I will start producing like a mad woman, because that is how I work.

Let me remind you about my Christmas Pillow Give Away. You still have time to enter. Read more about it here.

Hope you are having a lovely Wednesday. Mine is rainy and... well. This post says it all doesn't it?

See you soon.

Kärlek
Annette

  2. Så tycker jag det är för det mesta. Man gör liksom inte det man borde eftersom det alltid kommer massa annat kul imellan. :)
Lycka till i alla fall! Är säker på att det kommer gå utmärkt.

  4. I hear you! I REALLY should be doing small crafts for a consignment shop that I sell at *sigh* Instead, I'm finishing my 'afghan of the month' for myself. Sheesh!

PS...we had a wee bit of snow here (Michigan, USA) I dunno what it's supposed to do today weahter wise. It really doesn't matter as I have to go to my muggle job soon *sigh*

  7. Good Afternoon Annette, Don't worry, I do this aswell. If I have something important that I really must do, I distract myself into doing other things which I feel really are just as important, but I know in my heart they are not. I think they call what we suffer from procrastination. Clear your mind and focus....your work is beautiful. The first photo of your crocheting made me want to reach for my crochet hook and wool. Good luck. Best Wishes Daphne
