Garden in early June

It is time for a little garden update. Things are starting to really take off now.  It is so exciting to watch what is happening from one day to another. I find it very fascinating how all those micro, mini seeds now are starting to carry fruit. So quick!

Redan!

 Potatoes.

Potatis.

Carrots.

Morötter.

Broccoli rabe, an experiment.

Lång broccoli, ett experiment.

 Red beets.

Rödbetor.

Mange Tout or also knowsn as Snow peas.

Mange Tout, också kallade sockerärtor.

Sun chokes, a type of sunflower and you eat the roots... Weard. But I trust Jay's green fingers.

The tomatoes almost died, but Jay saved them with plastic tents to keep the heat in the ground and protect them from to much rain.

And, salad and ruccola. Lots of it. We won't need to buy any salad ever this summer. You cut some for dinner and in a few days new leaves have grown up again.

Och sallad och ruccola. Massor.

Red currants.

Röda vinbär.
Blueberry bush.

Blåbärsbuske.

Raspberries, but only a few.

Hallon, men bara lite grann.

Strawberries. Can't wait for tehm to get deep red and ready to pick. Yum!

Jordgubbar. Mums!

So, yes. The garden is doing just fine in the beginning of June.

Ciao!

  2. Hello Annette,

I'm happy to see so much photos of your garden returning to life. I love gardening and I grow all my vegetables, I make my seeds too. And like you, I'm very impressed in front of those so small things making so big and good vegetables and fruits.
About your patchwork project, I don't know what to say. I've just made one patchwork, and it was with pieces of tissus I kept from old clothes and rests of sewing works. I made a triangle with cardboard and used it to cut pieces in every material I could, and after I assembled them. So I think I will make a photo of this work (not finished) and show it on my blog.
    Good luck for your patchwork.
