I reach out my hand behind me and she grabs it.
Our hands fit perfectly together.
Her little one with painted nails in my big hand that wraps around hers carefully.
Our hands fit perfectly together.
Her little one with painted nails in my big hand that wraps around hers carefully.
It feels so good.
It is so natural.
It just is.
Unconditionally she is there, trusting me, needing me, reaching for me, loving me.
Unconditionally I am there for the exact same reasons.
It is a great feeling.
The best there is.
I want this feeling to last forever.
Even when the 5 year old little Emmy Bo's hand is as big as mine.
I hope she will grab my hand even then when I reach out for her.
Her young beautiful hand in my older, wrinkly one.
We fit perfect together.
Forever.

♥ Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI think this is so sweet, I love her little painted finger nails. I have two grown daughters and they most definitely will take my hand when I reach out to them, and often they reach out for mine! Such memories your thoughts have brought back! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI hope your hands fit perfectly together always too. Sweet picture and sentiments.
ReplyDeleteOh, there is nothing like it.
ReplyDeleteMy daughters are 31 and 30 and, yes, their hands are still there for me - and mine for them. :o)
ReplyDeleteAwww, so sweet. My 20 year old daughter and I still have a very strong bond. Wait till she has a break up with her very first boyfriend. They revert back to that vulnerable 5 year old :)

Yes I know this sweet feeling of having a little hand tucked in mine. My mum always used to grab my hand when we crossed a road together, even when I was a teenager she would still instinctively do it, used to make us both laugh!
ReplyDeleteIsn't. Motherhood the BEST?
