Harry, Zayn, Louis, Niall and Liam...
Do you know about these boys? Do your daughter's sing their songs and cry themselves to sleep at night because they are completely in love with Harry, Zayn, Louis, Niall and Liam? If so than you understand what it is like to be a mother of that idol worshipping phenomenon... This post is about something far from crafty but still quite entertaining.
I have taken Nelly Bo out of school because we are going to Zurich today to see One Direction live. Yep! We found tickets for this lucky girl, and me, and the principal said yes, she can skip school for two days to see her idols.
She is 11 going 12. One Direction is her first big heart throbbing idol crush. First it was Zayne, then Harry, now I am not sure which one she fancies the most. I TOTALLY understand her. These boys are pure eye candy. If I was 12 I would have a big crush on Louis. Call me cougar...
These boys happen to sing well too. I am really looking forward to this event. We go by train. I have booked a nice hotel. We will go shopping of course. And have coffee and cake. But most of all we will sing a long and dance a long to One Direction for a slong as Nelly Bo don't think I am embarrassing. Then I sit down.
So before we jump on that train, I thought I'll share some One Direction love (far from crafty love this is...) with some of your teenage daughter's out there. I am sure they will love every picture and I am sure they will think that Nelly Bo is the most lucky girl there is today. Well, she thinks so anyway. This is a once in a life time happening. I am so excited for her.
Kärlek
Annette

This is so funny! I only have boys, and they are almost allergic to this band. They hear the girls in their class talk about these boys all the time, and they just don't get it. But of course I do; I've been a teenage girl myself, and every teenage girl needs to have a crush on a boyband!
ReplyDeleteI've never even heard of them. I went to youtube - one of their videos was watched over 300 MILLION times! OMG.
ReplyDeletemy daughter" harry is my husband".
ReplyDeletehave a nice day in Zurich!

Yes they were on the X Factor in the UK a few years ago. They are amazing and its a band put together by the judges, so actually its very impressive that they have done this well. I can definitely see the actraction for an 11 year old. I hope she has a wonderful concert. xo
ReplyDeleteOh, I know how this works. I have a 15-year old & she loves One Direction AND Justin Bieber. So she went to both concerts over here in The Netherlands, luckily with friends, while we had dinner with another set of parents near the venues during the concerts. So we could bring the girls and pick the girls up afterwards. Both concerts were 'Awesome!!'... of course... You all have a really good time, it is so much fun to see the girls enjoying this so much!
ReplyDeleteAh enjoy it girls!
ReplyDeleteWe just had the Bieber in South Africa - this is when I'm very glad I don't have girls, judged by the amount of fainting going on :-)
Yes, my 13 year old is OBSESSED!!!! And jealous because she's not been to a concert yet!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I bet she is beyond excited. Good for you taking her to the concert and making this such a special event for her.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time,
Meredith
OH she will remember that you took her, and she will love you for it, forever :) I remember my mom buying records for me with Donny Osmond when I was 10. 34 years later I saw him live for the first time and now I travel to USA every year to see him and his sister :)
Take that backstreetboys mens2men westlife osv. Kram på dig och lycka till med tonåring.

1D are now on my blog !!! ;o)
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe the principal let her skip school.
ReplyDeleteIs he a good principal?
By the way, my daughter is 24 and she also is a big one direction fan. She went to one of their performances in Hamburg.
Apart from that she usually likes the "normal" stuff (same stuff adults should like).
She says they are her "guilty pleasure".
