Well, we have a room that we call "The Office/The Studio/The Playroom". This is where I have "My work space" (right there at the end by the window, you see my blue crafty shelf?). To get to "My work space" you sometimes have to make Super G turns between a wide variety of toys. But that is okay.
And to display a quilt WiP on the floor can result in a bit of a disturbed picture. Blocks and pieces of fabric can be flying around all over the place when small tippy toes tries to step over (and fails as a quilt is big and kids' legs are short), or around (my kids doesn't seem to understand the word "around" as they then automatically walk straight across...). But over all it does work pretty good to have "My work space" in here.
I managed to finish my Flower Power quilt top but it felt like it needed to be slightly bigger so I started to brainstorm with myself... Maybe a green border would be it... naaahhh.
Maybe if I put some ric rac on it? Naaaahhh, complete disaster when the Mr Flower Power quilt top met with Miss Pretty Ric Rac. Doesn't work.
Solid white... naaaahhh. Boring.
Yellow paisley.... hmmm. I was planning on having this vintage sheet as the backing...
Well neither one felt right. So I ordered some more bright & fun fabric from Sosovintage to add on one more row. That feels perfect! (Photo from Sosovintage)
HAPPY! I love this project... Waiting for that delivery now.
