This year they are a bunch of young ladies.
They are very curious.
Over the top curious at times.
They are cute, friendly and just nice to have there outside our backyard. They run up and down the hill in full speed at times. Going completely crazy. We watch them from our kitchen window if it is raining but often do we go outside to watch them. Maybe pat them if we dare. I don't. But Jay does.
The kids play in the apple trees with the cows munching away below. How lucky aren't they to experience this when there are kids who never see a cow live more than in a zoo?
No, we are lucky to have these ladies around. In a few weeks they will go to the top of the mountain and the melody from their cow bells will stop. I love the ding ding ding, dong dong dong... Every cow has a different size and it is like having an orchestra right there in nature.
I love cows. I never knew I did until we moved here. But I do. They make me happy.

Annette, you are so lucky. Cows are gorgeous animals, there eyes speak volumes I think. So great for your kids to experience this. Lovely.

What fun neighbors giving you your own little cow bell concert each day :) Happy weekend Annette!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful cows! And that photo with the tongue is amazing. I have been close to cows, but they are free range kind of wild cows. They are more scary than cute, because the place we see them is a place in the mountains where people do not usually go. Up close you get a real idea of just how large cows are!!
ReplyDeletewe used to have some cows in a field near enough to us to hear them moo...they don't wear bells here...but now there are big stupid houses in the field...I miss the moo's!!! Those photos are fabulous of the ladies in the field...so glad they make you happy!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI understand why they make you happy... Cows are cool :)
ReplyDeleteOh I love it! Especially the shot with the cow trying to lick your camera :-)
ReplyDeleteI studied as animal scientist, never really worked in the field thought, but to this day, one of the most beautiful sounds are that of cow bells in rural Venda, South Africa, where I worked as environmental consultant.
Bliss to have them almost in your backyard.
Vilka härliga bilder på korna, speciellt den som försöker slicka dig.

Ha Ha ....really really curious eh!!! very funny the photo where one of the ladies is trying to lick the camera. I used to accompany my Dad to bring the cows home for milking when I was a child....I really loved doing that. Fond memories brought back by these great photos.
ReplyDeletekeep well

Que lugar lindo.
ReplyDeleteAdoro fazenda, e adoro essa cor de vaca, branca e marrom.
Um abraço.
I definitely love cows too! How wonderful to have them so close. I would love watching them too. They are lucky cows to live in such a glorious place. I've been reading some stuff recently about intensively farmed dairy cows that never go out in the fresh air or fields which is a crime as far as I'm concerned. We have cows on the Common just above us where they roam free in the summer. We can't see them from our house but they are about 5 minutes away. Maggie xx
