I pre-ordered this book on Amazon.co.uk in January and although I am not really a pastel girl I suddenly feel a need to share some Pretty Pastel Style from my own home with you, when seeing the cover of this treasure. When looking around my studio I surprisingly discovered that I actually got quite a few pastel WiPs in the making right now. I didn't even reflect upon that before. :D
There is that purple and green patchwork underneath the Pretty Pastel Style book. It only needs an envelope backing to transform into a glorious pastel pillow. And the Emma Lamb inspired baby mobile with Maybelle Crochet Flowers and mini flowers is also a WiP. I am adding pastel beads to it. So cute. It will have a mix of pastel and brighter brighter colors when finished. I'll show you when it is done.
I found Emmy Bo's little needle point WiP. She is turning 6 this year and this project is perfect for her to play around with. I am so in love with her little heart and stars... You should see her in the process of making with that super concentrated face of hers... Needle down... Needle up... Needle down...
And what about my Pretty Pastel Fabric??? These will turn into baby patchwork quilts. A while ago I woke up one morning with an urge to do super pretty baby girl quilts. I ordered some very sweet fabrics from Sew Deerly Loved and now I have cut a bunch of squares. One set of squares is currently on my design board ready to be pieced together already. I guess I am a bit of pastel girl after all. Tonight I am going to bed early... And read for a long time... Suddenly I am longing for my pillow.
