Another Nordic Shawl

Yarn: Ideal from Bergere de France;
Light pink - Danseuse, Medium pink - Cyclamen, Deep red - Brouilly,
Light green - Olivine, Dark green- Fougere, White - Everest, Light grey- Cendre.
What happened to my Nordic Shawl No 2? Well, it has been finished for quite some time. But I just haven't had the chance to make it justice with the terrible weather we have had. Today the sun is out and the rain has stopped. Maybe this week will be the week for a photo shoot. So lets have this picture as a teaser and later I might show you more.

One of my crochet students wants to purchase this shawl... It is with mixed feelings I am letting it go. I really do love the color theme in this one. But I can always make another one, I keep telling myself...

How about you? Are you finished with your versions of the Nordic shawl? I would love to see. I am collecting pictures from you all for an upcoming Nordic Shawl potpurri. Depending on the colors you chose for this shawl it can be anything from classy to eclectic, pretty to cool. Show me, show me, show me pleeeease! And if you don't have the pattern you can purchase it here.

  3. I am working on mine, Annette! I ordered some new yarn for the multi-colored part which should be here Monday. I've been leisurely working on it, not rushing, and just enjoying it a few rows a day. I'll be posting a picture on Ravelry when she's finished. The main color is one that I have not seen anyone use yet. Tease, tease, tease!! :) Love this new one you've shown today.

  6. It looks beautiful, I can quite see why your student wanted to buy it from you, although I am not sure that I could have been able to part with it if I had made it! I have my yarn ready, but haven't got the pattern yet, and I have a massive blanket to finish first, so I am holding off getting the pattern so that I don't get distracted! xx

  18. I totally totally love the colours in this shawl. The silverish gray with those bright ones. The red just blends sooo well with the silverish gray. And the border is making it so elegant. I can understand how difficult it is to part with. But do make on for yourself in similar colours.
