A Chateau in France

I fell in love and I fell hard. When we entered the gate to this Chateau Le Sallay Hotel I was stunned with its beautiful setting.

- "Wow! You did well, My Love!" My husband agreed and did as much Oooohing and Aaaahing as me when parking on the property.

We went for a 24 hour trip to Nevers in France, only 4 hours from home. Him racing on the Magny-Cours Supermoto Circuit, me reading and crocheting in a sun chair, us staying in this gorgeous boutique hotel and enjoying good food in restaurants.

Romance can be expressed in many different ways. It doesn't always have to be big slam Hollywood style (how I wish Hollywood could show us romance in another way than just the fairytale way...), but of course, a French Chateau with it's own little Rapunzel tower, lace curtains behind wood windows, charming vintage cars, views over fields with grazing cows and the most delicate and wonderful roses climbing walls and fences... This ticks all the boxes for a chick like me in no time.

We had a wonderful time. We ate wonderful food. The room was a bit too small for my liking (unfortunately...) but the surroundings and quiet atmosphere was just what I wanted. In the morning after breakfast I witnessed a wedding photo shoot which made this Chateau visit even more dreamy.  I'm sure we will be back, maybe checking in to the Grande Suite next time to get the most out of it. 24 hours away with My Love exploring something new, makes all the difference in the world.
