A table from a crafty meet up where knitting needles, crochet hooks, yarn and chitter chatter had the center of attention. Nothing beats to meet up with like minded people who just "gets it" if you know what I mean. We talk yarn, we talk Instagram, we talk patterns, we talk blogging, we talk crafty tools and we oh and ah over fabulous creations and share our makes with each other. We laugh. We enjoy delicious food (Thank you so much Julie!!!) and we drink a large amount of tea and water... We are snuggled up on sofas with needles in hands, but to be honest we don't get much work done. We just chat, and chat, and chat, and chat, and chat... Until we suddenly realize I need to go. And once again I think one day is not enough. I need a week of this. Or at least three days. Crafty get-togethers are the best.
Big thank you for a wonderful time @winterbeachbymab, Made With Loops, Julie and Jackie. Until next time - Au Revoir!

looks like you had a wonderful time & yes, 3 days would probably get more than just chit chat done!
ReplyDeletejust caught up with Izzy, hope she is feeling better, what of your other kitten, Maya? i have found it's best just to leave them for a day, let them sleep it off, lot's of cuddles later will make up for everything!
thanx for sharing
Hi
DeleteThanks for asking about the kittens. Izzy is recovering well thanks to some antibiotics. Maya is as crazy as ever, you couldn't even tell she just had serious surgery. :o I have another appointment with the vet this week and hope to get the thumbs up for Izzy. So far I am keeping her inside... Worried about those stitches and getting that cut inflamed...
All the best

Sounds like a perfect day! Lucky you!

Ah yes! I know EXACTLY how you feel. I drive 6 hours to Portland, Oregon here in the U.S. just to have lunch with several other crafty ladies. No one else "gets it". Drive a total of 12 hours for lunch? Yes I will. I love meeting with my girlfriends. Your time together looks like so much fun. I'm glad you got to go.

Hooly macaroni! 12 hours!!!??? Wow, that is a lot. But if you want something really bad you will just make it happen, right? SO pleased to hear you treat yourself to this meeting although the travel is far. Good for you! I get it. :)

DeleteThat makes my 50 km feels like nothing, Betsy! I really missed my Pretoria Craft Shares, and was so happy to hook up with a great group in the neighbouring town. Totally get it!
ReplyDeleteHow fabulous Stel! I want more of these crafty get-together!!! 50 km is far as well... But it is so worth it. Happy for you that you have crafty people in your neighbouring town. :)

How fun for you. Food is a must at a craft session. I drove up to the city last Monday to join my ol' knitting group, ordering my garden omelette as usual.
ReplyDeleteSounds and looks so great! I would need a week of knitting, chatting & drinking tea in good company as well ;)
ReplyDeleteOh! that was a cool post.I like it.
