Veranda inspiration

Since we bought our Swedish summer house in 2014, I have had one project I really wanted to do to make it My Happy Place - The veranda. This is where I have my morning tea, sit and crochet in the afternoons or sit and read on a rainy day. The veranda is facing the road and I love watching people walk by with their dogs, riding horses, coming and going in their cars and waving their hands to say hello. It makes me feel connected to the community here.

I want my veranda to be a light and airy place. Full of Swedish colors and heirlooms. I want it to breath silence and harmony, wild flowers and mindfulness but also be functional for everyday necessities like boots, clogs, work clothes and beach hats to be hung. I pretty much know how I want it to be, but of course I've searched the web for inspiration as well. Today I'm sharing a taste of pictures I've found and more inspiring pictures can be seen on my Veranda Board on My Pinterest.

This past summer I started my project and I will share it with you later this week together with my Step-by-step make over guide. My veranda isn't ready yet but I'm almost there and it is truly transforming into My Happy Place. I'm so excited to share it with you.

  3. Hi Annette,

I hope you are well. It's been lovely catching up with your posts. I have been pretty pants with catching up with blogs these past few months. I love your veranda ideas. I have spent this year really concentrating on my house. It really needed attention, and crochet has really taken a back seat. Not sure if I even remember how to do it, it's been so long! It's lovely to get ideas from Pinterest. I am an addict I think on there! ha ha!

Take care my lovely, Vanessa xxx
