My Rose Valley presents...

... a special treat today. A video. Yep. We played around a bit with the camera this weekend while having some Christmas fun. Jay sat down to do some editing, wanting to make a short movie and BOOM! A cute little homey video was born. And maybe it wasn't really a BOOM... It took some time, sweat and tears before figuring out how to make a short film. But gosh how fun it was! Learning something new and seeing how boring clips comes together in harmony. It is a bit shaky, blurry and out of control but I LOVE IT just like that! Let me present my very first My Rose Valley video about making Swedish Saffron Buns. Hope you will enjoy.

Annette

  5. Good Evening Annette, Your video certainly was a treat, it was adorable. You looked so tranquil when you were making your Swedish saffron buns.
.... a lovely beginning to Christmas.... and I love Michael Buble, so that was an extra treat.
You certainly put a smile on my face.
    Best Wishes to you.

  7. Oh it's absolute perfection, I love it. Clever you! And that saffron dough looks brilliant. Love seeing it all puffed up under that pretty tea towel. I've never made a saffron bun but you've persuaded me I must jot down the recipe immediately. Of course with three boys helping it won't be a picturesque festive moment, more of a flour fight, but I shan't let that stop me. CJ xx

  11. That is SOOOO charming! Especially your little girl at the end. I like the blurry, then sharp quality. Actually I think it's very HALLMARK, if you get those shows in Switzerland. Very lovely video - be very proud of yourself. Thanks for sharing it.

  28. Hi Annette! I finally had time (and a proper Internet connection again) to watch your video. It's so super beautiful! Lovely to see you and your girl baking the buns. It definitely gives an instant Christmas feeling! I'd like to try the buns, but first I'll be baking 'Plätzchen', that's German for Christmas cookies. My husband is German and home-made cookies are a tradition there. So, off to the kitchen now! Enjoy the lovely days before Christmas! X
