It's Time For Pink!

The Christmas blog header is gone. The Christmas decorations are put away. Christmas dramas are put behind and Christmas joy is forever treasured in my memory and on film. I crave pink. Lots of pink. Light pink and bright pink, pale pink and smiley pink. Pink tulips on my table. Pink PJ's when going to bed. Tea cups with pink roses.

I want to make a pink table runner and a pink baby quilt for a new arrival. I made a pink set of Pine Tree Wrist Warmers (pattern here) and I love them dearly. I want to make another ruffle pillow, in pink. I want pink in my bathroom and so I choose a pink tube of shampoo and conditioner at the grocery store, and new bright pink scrub gloves for the shower. Maybe I should buy myself a set of pink towels too...??? And pink soap, toothpaste... Am I going to far??? I just want pink. So pink it is. For a while. In my home. Longing for spring and pink apple blossoms on the trees.

  3. Hi Annette,
Oh, PINK! Lovely pink... It would completely clash with every single wall and bit of furniture in my home, but I can imagine it, right? And settle down to housework with a cup of coffee and a Nice Pink Brain!

  5. I think pink is beautiful. It's a soft gentle soothing colour that heals, or a heated passionate colour. I don't buy into the 'girly pink' thing at all, its just one of my favourite colours and is for everyone, boy or girl. I'm not an air head because I love it so. It comes in different shades and tones and one way or another I am very attracted to it. There is nothing better than spring blossom in my view.

Am loving your assortment of pinks, the wrist warmers are lovely and cosy. Enjoying the fabrics too. Tulips are my favourite flowers as well. Thanks for sharing the pretty things.

  6. Oh yes I'm with you on the pink! I've been craving peachy pinks, dirty pinks recently. Teamed with grey blues and ochre. I don't know why but I just love those 3 together. I've been pondering how I can incorporate these into my home without it looking horribly clashy with what's already there. I have lovely browny pink linen on my bed so I'm contemplating painting the walls a pale grey/blue then making an ochre throw for the bed. Decisions decisions! I still have 3 blankets that need doing before that though! Ha ha!!!!!!!!!! Seriously though, embrace the pink crush!!!!!!!! Xxxxxxx

  7. Oh pink is perfection in winter isn't it. It goes so beautifully with all of the cold silvery colours. And I love to spot the tiniest pale pink winter blossoms. Not much pink in this boy household, but I do have a pink scarf that I knitted. I didn't think I liked it after I finished it, but it turns out I love it. Hurray for pink! CJ xx
