Lately...

Lately I've been eyeballing and drooling over a box of fabric strips that I found at a thrift store. You might wonder what I am doing with them... It is a secret little project of mine that will happen soon...

Lately I've been stuck in traffic a lot, the Swiss countryside way... I love this kind of traffic. :D

Lately I've been experimenting with different joining techniques for my Maybelle Squares, I listed a Tilda yarn kit - vintage colors to my Etsy shop. And more kits will be listed for your convenience.

Lately I've been playing around with a new e-shop design and I've been sketching on a new pattern...

Lately I've been taking all my pictures with my iPhone and I can't wait to invest in a proper camera as it frustrates me that I can't take the great pictures I want to take....

Lately I've been thinking a lot
of what I want to do with My Rose Valley. In what direction I am moving. My Rose Valley is growing in the same speed as my children... When this happens you have to take time to think what your next move will be, what you want for it, what you expect from it and if there are things, habits and any behaviours you would like to change. Just like for your children. My Rose Valley is in a way my baby growing up. The chubby legs with scratched knees are gone, she is becoming taller and more mature. Smart. And she needs attention. But another type of attention than before. More intellectual and sophisticated attention than just a regular nurturing...

So in my own pace I am making changes. I am writing down wish lists, dream lists, actions lists and business lists (You know, I am a list person...). Because My Rose Valley is a business. I can proudly call myself a part time blogger because that is exactly what I am. The hobby has turned into a registered business with a Yarn Shop and ETSY shop, a Pop-up Shop and soon also with Crochet workshops. I am hoping My Rose Valley one day will be more than a business I sneak in between homework and dinners, shopping and cleaning, work and activities, kids and social life...

So excuse me if I've been a bit scattered lately. I have a lot on my mind. Enjoying the journey of a growing little business and thinking I should share this with you. In some way, some how... Because that is the greatest satisfaction of all with a blog - to share.

Happy weekend awesome blog friends.

  7. The new pattern looks lush! I started my own freelance business at the beginning of this year and I think it's actually a very good idea to evaluate every now and then and decide what you like and what you dislike. I mean, you grow as a person and that means other things also grow with you. Does you giving workshops mean you're hosting crochet workshops in the Alps with cowbells in the background? Ah... that would be megaical ;-)
