I see the light

"The sun! Mama!!! The sun is shining!!!", Nelly Bo screams of delight. And yes, she is right. The sun came out. For a little while. Like a moment. And I could see hope. Hope that there is a life after this long, dreadful, grey, rainy and cold winter.

I quietly enjoyed my latest issue of Lantliv at the kitchen table with the sun and the Macchiato making me cozy and warm.

Outside Charlie was rolling himself on the hot stone path. The busy bees were buzzing around the few spring flowers that has appeared.

I started on a new baby quilt. The strips are now waiting to be pieced, catching the beautiful light in my window.

The sun came out. For a little while... And the world changed. I saw the light. I am now hoping to see it again soon as it made me feel so good. Cross fingers...

  1. I'm so happy for your northeners! And we're having some drizzle here by the sea, on our Easter holiday. But I'm happy, it was SO hot and dry for so long.

Thanks for sharing your lovely photos, the quilt fabrics are gorgeous set against the sunlight.
Charlie looks very much like our cat Bella who loves wriggling on her back on the ground!
Roll on some real spring weather that stays around and brings true warmth.

  7. It has been a beautiful day here in the North of England with sun for the first time in ages, so I completely share the indulgence. The muffins look LOVELY, yum and so does the beginning of a new quilt. Looks like Macchiato was having fun. Love the little croccusses, so pretty! Enjoy. Hannapat
