Blanket with shell stitches

Hi there!
We have had a lot of sickness in the house lately. When being a family of five the viruses kind of just go round and round and round... But in all this mess I have managed to squeeze in some hooking, believe it or not. I've started a blanket. I am not sure of what to call it - a shell blanket? Inspired by The Garden Bell's Circus Parade, that I first saw on Mönsterarkivet. But her pattern was kind of confusing to me plus she is a lefty, maybe that was why I didn't really get it. And then I have been searching for a similar stitch in my crochet books, on other blogs and in the end, after trying out shells and clusters and grannies and some other home invented techniques I finally decided to go with the shell stitching technique.

Simple and very pretty. I am enjoying every moment of it. And I love how the colours mix and match as I go.

Play dooh session is about to start and little girl is demanding my attention. Got to go, but see you soon.
Ciao!

  1. Playdough is THE business here too....
